Baby Care App Design
Goal:
Design a mobile application that helps parents keep track of their babies' health and development.
For this project each student was tasked with designing a baby care mobile app using a Rapid/Lean UX approach. The client is developing a sensor component that will record certain types of data from the baby. The sensor will interact with the app wirelessly to deliver data to the parent regarding the state of their child.
One of the critical components of the app is to reinforce the act of kangaroo care, a type of skin to skin care that's been shown to have a variety of health benefits for babies. I proposed a design that would look inviting to the parent by including friendly language, soft pastel colors, and a simplistic interface. Usability studies were carried out throughout the app's design to refine it into a high-fidelity prototype.
