HTML Email Campaigns

Redesigning LGI’s email campaign strategy began by transforming existing plain-text emails to visually appealing campaigns that would engage potential homebuyers.

Designing for Engagement

The new design focused on applying photography and actionable links. The body text of the existing campaigns was condensed to the essential components. Only the most relevant information related to the event would remain, such as the community name, dates, starting price point, and amenities. This would prevent the reader from being overwhelmed with too much information.

A “Call Today” button was added to connect the reader directly with the sales office from a mobile device. This removed the need for the reader to memorize the phone number when calling, as was required with the plain-text campaigns. 

The layout follows an exterior to interior flow. Exterior shots are featured on the top half of the email while interior shots are featured in the bottom half. Assuming a left-to-right reading direction, this layout allows the reader to take a short virtual tour of the home with relevant information in between.

New Community Campaign

An alternative campaign was designed for new communities. Because little to no photos was available for these communities, this design was condensed and focus on the opening event details with a clear call to action.

Call-throughs increased noticeably with this design due to the top placement of the “Call Now” button.

Results

The new design strategy led to an increase in click-throughs to the LGI Homes website, call-throughs and sales leads following the initial deployment in the state of Texas. The new campaigns went nationwide for all 50+ LGI Homes communities.
